The Recreation & Athletics Complex (RAC) underwent a major renovation that transformed the RAC for LCCC students, student athletes and employees. The existing competition gym was relocated to the existing Multipurpose Room (MPR) which has the ceiling height to align with National Junior College Athletic Association requirements as well as increased seating - 1,300 spectators at LCCC athletic competitions and community events. A two-story addition provides office spaces, student-athlete locker rooms, weight training facilities, and storage. Plan One is served as architect of record with Essenza Architecture providing recreation design expertise.
