The addition and renovation to the Eagle Point Recreation Center, built in 1986, increases the programming offerings and provides a safer environment for patrons. Changes to the exterior of the building includes a drop-off zone and a new building envelope that delivers a cohesive, modern appearance. New spaces include an expanded group exercise room, a dance studio, a yoga/cycling studio, a small group training area, and public meeting rooms.

A therapy pool was added to the existing natatorium, and the interior of the building modernizing with new finishes and lighting. A state-of-the-art "˜cardio movie theater" pays homage to one of the last drive-in movie theaters in Colorado, The 88 Drive-In. Xcel Energy Design Assist issued a rebate for energy-efficient spaces. This project required a rigorous design and construction schedule.
